Volunteer Coordinators

Fermat Coordinator - TBN

The Fermat group is our youngest and usually our largest.  For both reasons we typically need more parent volunteers in the classroom (say, 4-5) than are needed in the other groups.  This is the principal need filled by the Fermat Coordinator, to communicate with other Fermat parents from week to week to assure that there is adequate adult presence in the Fermat classroom to maintain good order and support the needs of the instructor.

The Coordinator should also be alert to the instructor's needs during the class, tend to the policing of the classroom at the end of class, and communicate with the Director regarding any emergent matters.

Euler Coordinator - TBN

The Euler group is typically our middle-sized group and also intermediate in age.  The Euler group requires at least two adult volunteers in the classroom and preferably three.  Besides the fact that this is a practical number for supervision, the Euler group frequently engages in problem solving activities that are best officiated by at least two adults in addition to (or absence of) the instructor.  It is thus a key function of the Euler Coordinator to communicate with other Euler parents to assure that there is adequate adult presence in the classroom to maintain good order and support the needs of the instructor.

The Coordinator should also be alert to the instructor's needs during the class, tend to the policing of the classroom at the end of class, and communicate with the Director regarding any emergent matters.

Gauss Coordinator - TBN

The Gauss group is typically our smallest and most mature group.  Gauss students typically require a minimum of supervision and usually respond well to the instructor of the day.  Gauss activities rarely require significant volunteer support, so that usually only one or two adults are needed.  The Gauss Coordinator needs to communicate with other Gauss parents to assure that there is adequate adult presence in the classroom to maintain good order and support the needs of the instructor.

The Coordinator should also be alert to the instructor's needs during the class, tend to the policing of the classroom at the end of class, and communicate with the Director regarding any emergent matters.
